Properly airing with the CO2 traffic light

Learn how to ventilate properly with the CO2 traffic light: timely and effective. Prevent fatigue and (SARS-CoV-2) infections.

Improve your ability to concentrate and productivity while working or learning! Sleep and recover better at night!

Too much CO2 in the room air worsens the recovery value when sleeping, the ability to concentrate or learn. We exhale an average of 40,000 ppm of CO2 with each breath. "Fresh" air from outside contains about 400 ppm CO2. One can imagine that in a closed room it therefore rapidly increases in carbon dioxide and therefore the lungs work more inefficiently.

The attention decreases already at 1500 ppm visibly and many people already feel the urge to air from 1000 ppm.

Against Corona

Viruses live in the smallest water droplets and thus spread in the air. The so-called aerosols can be distributed in the room within a very short time and are carriers of all kinds of germs, such as .B SARS-CoV-2 viruses. The higher the amount of infectious aerosols in the breathing air, the greater the likelihood of getting infected.

The remedy is regular ventilation! But what does it mean regularly? How do I know what too little, too frequent and proper ventilation means?
Our CO2 traffic light helps to measure used air and makes recommendations to replace the indoor air and free it from CO2 and viral load.

CO2 Logger Development Kit

If you want to put on a hand yourself, the CO2Logger development kit is just right for you! Pre-soldered Raspberry Pi Topping (HAT) for plugging on all Raspberry Pi models. Our kit is equipped as standard with CO2 sensor, battery-aided RTC (real-time clock), database and web frontend. The development board has additional interfaces to attach additional sensors such as.B fine dust, temperature, humidity and air pressure. In addition, the board has a SPI interface with level converter for 5V to connect APA102 RGB LEDs, as well as onewire bus and I2C bus. Real makers know what we are talking about 🙂

Features:

  • Precise NDIR CO2 sensor
    • Temperature and humidity compensation
    • Auto-calibration
    • 15 years of service life
    • Insensitive to VOCs (solvents, disinfectants, etc.)
  • High-precision real-time clock
  • Additional sensors
    • Fine dust
    • Temperature
    • Moisture
    • Pressure

Traffic lights

The CO2 logger development kit can also be used as a CO2 traffic light. In addition, it has a database that can record the history of all sensor values. With the web frontend, which is pre-installed on the Dev-kit, the past values can be graphically displayed and analyzed at any time.

IoT ready

Our CO2 logger development kit can be integrated into IoT environments. Connect the logger to your smart home, send the values via MQTT, to the Azure IoT Cloud, or to any UL2 endpoint.
